Two-Day Loop Drive
Stop #13: Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory and Aquarium
Driving Directions: Travel east on US 98. Cross the bridge over Ochlockonee Bay and continue for 8.4 miles to Panacea. Turn right at the aquarium sign onto Rock Landing Road, then right on Clark Drive (0.3 miles).
Distance and driving time between this and previous stop: 8.4 miles / 10 minutes.
Minimum time: 30 minutes.
Description: Located in the Waterfronts Florida Community of Panacea, the marine Laboratory’s 25,000-gallon saltwater Aquarium has open touch tanks providing visitors a close look at the enormous diversity of Big Bend sea life, from Sand Sharks to Sea Horses.
